UN Sanctions
Pursuant to resolution 751, the Unite Nations Security Council imposed certain sanctions agains Somalia. Those sanctions are: ​

EU Sanctions
The EU sanctions regime against Somalia is based on "COUNCIL DECISION 2010/231/CFSP of 26 April 2010 concerning restrictive measures against Somalia and repealing Common Position 2009/138/CFSP."
Somalia sanctions regime is in line with number of UNSC sanctions and has the following restrictive measures:

U.S. Sanctions
The United States, in line with United Nations Security Council, maintains a sanction program against Somalia. The U.S. program initiated in 2010 by E.O. 13536 and it was later amended by E.O. 13620.

The two executive orders set up a list-based blocking sanctions program against those annexed thereto (like al-Shabab) or involved in a range of activities in Somalia as explained by the each E.O. Furthermore, E.O. 13620 prohibits the importation of charcoal from Somalia to the United States.

OFAC codified the regulations related to Somalia under 31 C.F.R. Part 551.
