Monday, March 21st

- OFAC designated Sudanese Central Reserve Police pursuant to the authority granted to it under E.O. 13818 as part of its GLOMAC sanctions program. (Here, press release) There was an interesting point in the press release associated with this designation. The Department of the Treasury explicitly hinted that it would consider removing a designated person if they change their behavior.


- The U.S. Department of State imposed visa restrictions against a number of PRC officials for their involvement in repressive acts. (Press release)

Thursday, March 24th

- OFSI added six entities in Belarus to its list of sanctions targets. (Here)


- France added seven individuals to its list of sanctions under French counter-terrorism sanctions. (Here)


- OFAC designated hundreds of targets in Russia. (For more, please check this post.)


- Australia added individuals to its list of sanctions. (For more, please check this post.)


- The Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation of State Department imposed sanctions on four entities and two individuals under the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act (INKSNA). The measures are described in this Notice. Friday, March 25th

- OFSI updated its Russia guidance. (For more, please check this post.)


- France provided some export control-related guidance. (For more, please check this post.)


- OFAC designated five individuals and five entities under its Burma program. (Here, Treasury's press release, DoS press release)


- OFSI also took action against Myanmar by imposing sanctions against three individuals and three entities. (Here, press release)


- OFAC designated six individuals in the UAE related to Boko Haram under its global counter sanctions program. (Here, Treasury's press release, DoS press release)
