UN has no sanctions regime in place against Myanmar.
The EU sanctions regime against Myanmar is based on "COUNCIL DECISION 2013/184/CFSP of 22 April 2013 concerning restrictive measures against Myanmar/Burma and repealing Decision 2010/232/CFSP."
This regime is regime-based one and consists of the following restrictive measures:
Financial sanctions (asset freeze)
Certain trade sanctions
On February 10, 2021, the President issued Executive Order 14014 imposing sanctions as a reaction to the military coup in Burma. This program of the United State is consisted of asset freezing and travel bans. The executive order laid down the grounds for designations undert this program.
